BROOKFIELD, WI | The Label Academy, a global training and certification program for the label industry, has added a new module to the series, entitled Label Dispensing and Application Technology. The new module demonstrates the various ways in which pressure-sensitive labels can be effectively dispensed and applied. Included are troubleshooting tips and guidelines.
The Label Academy, created by Labels & Labeling and Labelexpo, features a series of self-study modules, combining free access to a detailed synopsis, relevant articles, and videos with paid text books. After studies are completed, there is an online exam to earn a certificate. Anyone who passes an exam before September 4, 2015, will get the next one for free.
The five modules now available are Conventional label printing processes; Digital label and package printing; Environmental performance and sustainable labeling; Label design and origination; and Label dispensing and application technology.
The Label Academy, which has been endorsed by FINAT, TLMI, and the LMAI, will present two master classes at Labelexpo Europe 2015, September 29–October 2, in Brussels, Belgium: Conventional label printing processes, and Digital label and package printing. The master classes will feature the authors of the books and see live demonstrations on working machinery. The price of the master class also includes a copy of the text book as well as an exam pass.
