SPENCER, MA | FLEXcon is offering post-consumer waste release liner for the narrow web film label market. PCW 50K-8, 50#, kraft roll form release liner is made from up to 30% PCW. It’s an alternative to company’s SPEC 50K-8 liner and is now the release liner for its THERMLfilm NEXgen Series of gloss topcoated polyester films.

This product, produced in partnership with Wausau Paper, is said to provide equivalent functional performance as company’s standard 50# kraft release liner, with the same tensile strength, uniformity, smoothness, caliper consistency, density, opacity, layflat characteristics, and release levels.

No production changes are required; backside is printable with no ink modifications, product is recyclable through existing recycling programs; and it is suitable for optical sensing on most thermal transfer printers.
