The Zip360 flexible pouch from Zip-Pak, Manteno, IL, has a wide-mouth opening to allow easy access to snack mixes, frozen chicken, cookies and crackers, and pet food. Pour-spout functionality makes it ideal for cereal, frozen food, and vegetable applications as well. The format enables graphics around the entire surface area to maximize shelf impact at the point of purchase, and the resealable closure keeps the marketing messages in front of the consumer to last use. A life cycle analysis study confirmed that resealable flexible pouches offer a superior product-to-package ratio, lower energy and solid waste footprints, and lower greenhouse gas emissions.
