Hudson Sharp Acquires Amplas

GREEN BAY, WI, USA—Earlier this month, the Hudson-Sharp Machine Company announced its acquisition of the assets and products of Amplas, Inc.,the plastic bag and pouch machinery business based in Green Bay.

Headquartered in Green Bay, The Hudson-Sharp Machine Company is a world leader in the design and manufacture of plastic bag and pouch making equipment and pre-zippered film systems.

Day to day operations at Amplas are ongoing with the integration of products and personnel to take place over the next few months.
The acquisition brings to Hudson-Sharp market leading bottomseal technology including high-speed pin stacking, clamp stacking and heavy gauge film equipment for the production of bags for applications such as concrete, fertilizer and peat moss. In addition, the newly patented Valve Bag equipment opens the door to Hudson-Sharp into a previously unexplored market in the free-flow industry.
