AVT to Put Control System on Mark Andy Presses

HOD HASHARON, ISRAEL | Advanced Vision Technology (AVT), global supplier of print automatic inspection, process control, quality assurance, and color control for the packaging, label, and commercial print markets, has been selected by printing press manufacturer Mark Andy to provide print quality and control for its high-end Digital Series hybrid inkjet label press. The AVT system, Jet-IQ, is a closed loop solution for digital inkjet presses that reportedly works in synergy with press controllers to maintain heightened print quality.
System is said to offer a combination of production speed and assurance in addition to providing high print quality even at high run speeds, quick setup, and full reporting functionalities. Jet-IQ achieves this through a multifaceted set of benefits. What is said to be an innovative nozzle performance and color control feature increases press productivity, and the system also can verify geometric parameters such as color-to-color registration, image placement, and printing defects detection. System also monitors the integrity of both permanent and variable content, classifying possible print defects and automatically initiating corrective measures.
AVT says the Jet-IQ will provide enhanced inspection and quality control for the Mark Andy’s Digital Series while supporting overall print process automation, ultimately streamlining and safeguarding the task of label printing

The AVT Jet-IQ system will be integrated into the Mark Andy Digital Series press at Labelexpo Europe, September 25–28, at the Brussels Expo in Brussels, Belgium, with live demonstrations daily at the Mark Andy Stand C45, Hall 4.
