Testing Machines Inc. Upgrades Tear Tester

NEWCASTLE, DE | Testing Machines Inc. (TMI) reports the 83-76 Elmendorf Tear Tester now features an improved electronic design and a new  large touch screen display. Tester is said to provide precision measurements for paper, plastic films, corrugated, board materials, and more.

The new unit features a 7-in. touch screen that reportedly provides easy input of test parameters and allows the user to quickly select instrument settings based on industry standards.

Company says changing test parameters and units of measure is easy and allows the Tear Tester to conform to a variety of international testing standards. The unit features a combination of interchangeable augmenting weights and/or pendulums with capacities ranging from 200–6,400 g.

Test results and statistics are displayed on one screen for easy review. Results can also be printed and exported to a removable USB drive, computer, or sent directly to company’s GraphMaster software for additional analysis and storage.
