Industry of Nature Features Sustainable Solutions

AMSTERDAM, THE NETHERLANDS | Frame Publishers offers Industry of Nature, a publication featuring 75 solutions from nature that can be adapted to industries including adhesion, camouflage, insulation, and more.

Some of these solutions have already been applied to designs, e.g., the light and resistant honeycomb materials that take inspiration from the cellular structure built by bees and supramolecular materials with properties of self-healing inspired by human skin. Many of the solutions fit in well with today’s emphasis on sustainability.

The book features illustrations, photos, and references; a chapter on the history of biomimicry and man's relationship with nature over the years; and a graphical timeline showing Earth's developments, a bibliography, and an extensive glossary.
