AIMCAL and SPE Post Agenda for FlexPackCon

FORT MILL, SC | More than 400 attendees and 75 exhibitors are expected to attend the Web Coating & Handling Conference USA/FlexPackCon, Oct. 9–12, 2016, at the Peabody Hotel in Memphis, TN.

The schedule for the meeting, co-organized by the Association of International Metallizers, Coaters and Laminators (AIMCAL) and the Society of Plastics Engineers Flexible Packaging Division (SPE), features more than 100 sessions. Click here to see the preliminary agenda.

The conference schedule is organized in four concurrent tracks: Web Coating, SPE FlexPackCon, Vacuum Web Coating, and Web Handling. On Wednesday, October 12, Web Handling is replaced by a Joint Session track devoted to emerging technologies primarily related to printed electronics and solar energy.

Six optional short courses precede the keynote address on Sunday, October 9. On Sunday morning attendees may choose a course on Web Handling, Coextrusion to Improve Barrier Properties, or Web Coating Defect Reduction Techniques. The three afternoon options are Web Slitting Technology, Quality Control Techniques for the Factory Floor, and Electrostatics in Web Handling.

The schedule offers numerous opportunities for networking including TableTop Exhibit Receptions featuring more than 75 exhibits from top suppliers, converters, and consultants on Sunday, October 9, and Monday, October 10; the Dr. Bernard Henry Memorial 5k Fun Walk/Run; a scramble golf tournament or tour of Graceland, home of Elvis Presley; local activities, and a Farewell Reception.
