ITW Dynatec Launches Precision Slot Die

HENDERSONVILLE, TN | ITW Dynatec reports the launch of ExactCoat, a line of precision slot die solutions for the coating and laminating industry.

The line includes flex lip and rotary rod with flexible lip versions. Company also will offer positioners and a complete coating station, and the new system will provide what is said to be a state-of-the-art solution with thinner and faster techniques as well as adhesive delivery system technology.

Company says the system has guaranteed application performance resulting in faster production speeds and reduction of adhesive usage, and highly accurate and reliable system prevents streaking, permits ultra-thin coatings, and maintains high coat weight accuracy. In addition, it provides real-time monitoring of both pressure and temperature in the die.

The new turnkey system includes the following components:

• Melt system for the adhesive

• Precision slot die

• Coating station including all die adjusters

• Heated hoses and cabling

• Monitoring devices—both pressure and temperature

• State-of-the-art single PLC system capable of controlling temperatures of the entire system including the die, pump rates, and pressures.
