OMNOVA Solutions Reports Resin Results

BEACHWOOD, OH | OMNOVA Solutions presented research results related to Suncryl HP 114 acrylic release coating, their newest water-based resin, at the recent during the poster session at the Pressure Sensitive Tape Council Tape Summit 2015.

“[This] next-generation release coating has benefits for the makers of paper, film, and tape manufacturers alike,” says Tim Saddow, global marketing manager for Tapes and Adhesives at OMNOVA Solutions. “The new water-based technology imparts excellent performance characteristics while reducing process steps and cost of materials.”

For tape manufacturers, product imparts extreme hydrophobicity at very low solids, which helps reduce costs, Saddow says. “The benefit of using next generation release coatings like Suncryl HP 114 extends beyond these savings, delivering an environmentally preferred performance profile.”
