GERMANTOWN, WI | Faustel reports it reached a ten-year high for the fiscal year ending March 31. The company is a manufacturer of high-tech web converting equipment for the paper, film, and foil converting industry including modular systems, complete lines, and components for a wide range of coated or laminated products.
A privately held company, Faustel says it emerged from the deep recession that hit the capital equipment industry even stronger than the prior years. Looking ahead to fiscal 2015, the manufacturer expects a continuing upturn in activity. Expansion into new markets has helped Faustel create opportunities with new customers and diverse industries, including areas of significant recent growth such as Lithium ion electrodes and battery separators, reverse osmosis membranes, and medical device manufacturing. Originally created to serve multi-national companies with operations in Asia, company’s manufacturing facility in Xiamen, China, has been a critical benefit to the its ability to take on these emerging markets.
In addition, to address the uptick in business, Faustel expects to increase its staff over the next year.
“When the recession hit we cut expenses, trimmed overhead, and ran a lean business,” says CEO Milt Kuyers. “These same strategies were successfully used by our customers, who also happen to be manufacturers.” The company also reacted by putting more emphasis on marketing and development of new equipment technology.
“Manufacturers are showing signs of optimism and they are readying their facilities with equipment upgrades and new lines,” says Chris Clark, VP Technical Sales and Marketing. “Projections are up across all the industries we serve.”
