David Carlson To Receive Achievement Award

NORCROSS, GA | David A. Carlson with Fibre Box Assn. in Elk Grove Village, IL, has been awarded the TAPPI Corrugated Packaging Div. Lifetime Achievement Award.

"For more than 46 years, David has distinguished himself by his contributions to the pulp and paper industry as a whole and, for the past 32 years, to the corrugated packaging division of TAPPI," said Larry N. Montague, president and CEO of TAPPI. "He has been recognized both inside and outside the industry for his insight and leadership abilities. He has always been more than willing to share his extensive knowledge. He has directly or indirectly influenced the careers of thousands of members of the industry through his mentoring and sharing of expertise."

A graduate of Northwestern Univ. with both a bachelor of science in engineering and masters of business administration, Carlson began his career with Container Corporation of America. He has also held positions with Hoerner Waldorf, Champion International, Stone Container Corp. and Smurfit Stone Container Corp. before becoming technical advisor to Fibre Box Assn.
