PaperWorks Adds Folding Carton Options

BALA CYNWYD, PA | PaperWorks has added three new coated recycled board (CRB) kraftback folding carton options that have been engineered as cost-effective, 100% recycled alternatives to virgin kraft, with multiple appearance and performance benefits. The three additions to the recently launched MasterWorks Ultra 100 line include kraftback (general folding carton use), Kraftback Beverage (treated to provide tear strength for beverage applications), and Kraftback Freeze (moisture resistance for refrigerator or freezer applications.

With the addition of these three new kraftback grades, along with the recently launched whiteback, we can now offer multiple CRB alternatives to virgin. These options will help product marketers support their environmental initiatives, while still getting the performance and visual attributes that are critical in brand positioning.”

In addition to the 100% recycled content, the MasterWorks Ultra 100 Kraftback cartons are said to offer higher topside brightness and a wider caliper range than commercially available virgin kraftback options.

MasterWorks Ultra 100 line is Food & Drug Administration compliant for direct food contact and meets the 100% recycled paperboard symbol licensing requirements of the Recycled Paperboard Alliance. It is also Forest Stewardship Council certified.
