Show Support of Flexo Training by Sending Only a Letter
- Published: March 05, 2013, By Yolanda Simonsis
DiTrolio Flexographic Inst. (DFI), Broadview, IL, is soliciting support from the industry without asking for a dime. All he's asking from industry companies, particularly in Illinois where DFI is the only resource for formal flexo education, is to complete a Letter of Intent. (Click here to download a PDF of the Letter.)
Vince DiTrolio, VP of DFI, explains the letters from both printers and suppliers essentially must say they are reviewing or are committed to hiring DFI graduates. Such Letters of Intent are due by March 15, and if 40+ Letters of Intent are collected, DFI believes a grant would allow for the training of 50 individuals in the next 12 months. To get the grant, however, the Letters of Intent must first be submitted.
Now is that so hard? It's completely painless. Speak up. Be counted among those who support the flexo industry! It doesn't cost you a penny, but your voice must be counted.
Listen to a 5-minute podcast interview with Nsenga Thompson, PFFC contributing editor, and Vincent DiTrolio, VP, DiTrolio Flexographic Institute, discussing the letter-writing campaign DFI is initiating in order to receive valuable government funding for the training of current and new flexo printers.
