W+D Acquires Business Operations of Buhrs ITM

NEUWIED, GERMANY | Winkler+Dünnebier AG, Neuwied (W+D) has announced it has acquired the business operations of Buhrs ITM GmbH based in Löhne, Germany. Buhrs ITM has been reported the world’s fourth largest provider of efficient and flexible system solutions for automated envelope insertion. The acquisition agreement is effective October 2, 2010.

Going forward, the company will offer the entire existing product range and services under the name “W+D Direct Marketing Solutions GmbH” from its location in Löhne, Germany. It is planned to complement the company’s current product portfolio with new developments in the area of advanced inserting solutions for direct mail. With the acquisition of Buhrs ITM GmbH, W+D says it has strategically strengthened its position as a leading supplier of envelope, direct mail, and direct marketing production systems and solutions.
