Ticona Increases Price of its Polyester Products

PRESS RELEASE

FLORENCE, KY—Ticona, the technical polymers business of Celanese Corp., Kelsterbach, Germany, will increase the price of its polyester products effective on all shipments made on or after February 14, 2005. This increase reflects the continuing rise of polyester feedstock costs—currently at record levels.

The new pricing will apply as follows:

• Celanex® polybutylene terephthalate—$0.11/lb.
• Impet® polyethylene terephthalate—$0.60/lb.
• Vandar® thermoplastic polyester blends—$0.11/lb.
