W&H Demos Multiwall Machine in Lengerich; OEM Pleased with Drupa Results

LINCOLN, RI, USA—Windmoeller & Hoelscher (W&H) says in addition to a positive Drupa experience this year, the OEM is pleased with the turnout at its multiwall demonstration staged at its Lengerich, Germany, headquarters during the two-week trade fair in May.

According to W&H, it welcomed more than 150 visitors from 33 countries at the demonstration of its latest development in multiwall, the AD 8310 multi-purpose bottomer. "The responses from customers and industry experts confirm W&H’s belief that the company is perfectly positioned for the future of flexible packaging," states the manufacturer.

At the actual Drupa show in Düsseldorf, W&H showcased its flexographic printing equipment, including the Novoflex CM, a "high-performance central impression flexo sleeve press equipped with the new Port-a-Sleeve system for fast programmed sleeve changes."

The company also says the Primaflex CS direct-drive sleeve press created much enthusiasm from audiences. “We were stunned by the feeling of optimism obvious during the entire show," states W&H president Hans Deamer. “The interest in W&H’s latest presses and features was so high, we fully expect that business resulting from Drupa will be tremendous.”

In addition to the multiwall demo in Lengerich, W&H says there it presented the Easy-Set automatic impression setting system for its flexo presses, "[an innovative system] that completely and precisely sets exact impression settings at the push of a button. [The system] significantly reduces press set-up time and set up waste," says W&H.
