Martin Automatic Outfits New Press

ROCKFORD, IL | Martin Automatic reports it has provided Salee Printing Public Company (SLP) with an automatic splicer and rewinder
for a new flexo press. The Bangkok, Thailand-based label converter provides specialty labels and packaging solutions for home and personal care, health care, and food and beverage markets.

According to its deputy managing director, SLP “invests in state-of-the-art technologies to automate our processes in order to achieve consistent and high quality products.” For several years, SLP enjoyed a strategic alliance with European converter Pago International. During that time, it confirmed first-hand the benefits of a Martin splicer on a flexo press. “The reduction in waste and the improvement in throughput were impressive.”

That experience led SLP to fit its high-end flexo press with a Martin MBS splicer and LRD nonstop rewinder. Martin reports it worked with SLP and the press manufacturer to insure a smooth installation and integration in a tight floor plan.
