Montalvo Safety Chucks Have New Features

GORHAM, ME | The Montalvo Corporation offers Guardian safety chucks with a 

new handwheel, new journal seat inserts, and new journal seat.

Conical chuck journal seat is said to allow the use of simple journals without the risk of excessive stress and wear. Features a hand wheel open/closed indicator.

Chucks handle web speeds in excess of 300 mpm (980 fpm). Long housing design extends shaft position to 100 mm away from standard for mount clearance and/or coupling alignment.

Reportedly offers ease and convenience of automatically inflating winding shafts while shafts are installed in the chuck.
