Zircon Expands with Omet Varyflex

NOIDA, UTTAH PRADESH, INDIA | Zircon Technologies India Limited, led by Sanjeev Sondhi, has vowed to tread the path to innovation and technical excellence. In a definite move to implement and augment its innovative ambitions, the company has invested to enhance its manufacturing capabilities with state of the art equipment.

Recently the company acquired perhaps the largest label press in India to date. The label press, with diverse printing and converting capabilities, is the Omet Varyflex V2. At 26 meters long, the Omet Varyflex delivered to the Dehradun facility of Zircon is a highly advanced piece of equipment and one of the largest label presses Omet ever produced.

It is a complex integration of foiling, movable rotogravure, flexo, and proprietary web paths desired and decided by Sanjeev Sondhi after he had tested his innovative requirements on diverse label presses. It took him almost two years to finalize the exact configurations and attachments that are complex and proprietary in nature.

At 430 mm wide, the press has ten-color flexographic printing stations, a rotogravure printing station, hot foiling, etc. It has a converting section for cartons, labels, flexible packaging, lami-tubes, etc. The press has the capability to handle 12-mic films to 600-mic board. It features fully automatic registration control and is backed by Weldon Celloplast service and application support.
