Printed Intelligence Study Subject Of Agreement

Ciba and VTT Technical of Finland have signed a medium- to long-term cooperation agreement to develop new commercial products and solutions based on emerging technologies in the field of printed intelligence. The first jointly developed products are expected to be launched in the next few years.

VTT brings to the research cooperation multidisciplinary technology know-how in such areas as printing/converting, chemistry, biochemistry, nanotechnology, electronics, and diagnostics, and Ciba adds extensive experience and know-how in specialty chemicals.

According to Ciba, the market for printed disposable electronics is forecast to grow significantly in the coming years.
