SHAWNEE, KS | Nazdar offers UV-LED-curable inks said to offer environmental and economic benefits, as well as improved productivity.

According to the company, inks contain virtually no volatile organic compounds (VOC’s), harden instantly without off-gassing, use significantly less energy during curing, cure cooler with less surface heat generated, eliminate the production of ozone gases and the necessary ventilation, and eliminate the requirement for disposal of mercury lamps.

Instant on-off with no lamp warm-up times are said to provide higher productivity, and reduced heat means user can print sensitive and thin materials.

UV-LED curing lamps last for 10,000–40,000+ hours, depending on application, and lamps reportedly reduce consumables costs and downtime of traditional mercury lamps.
