MPS Sells Hybrid Press At European Show

ARNHEM, NETHERLANDS | MPS announces a successful Labelexpo Europe event with the debut showing of an extended new product range and the first sale of its new hybrid EF SYMJET flexo/digital press launched in cooperation with technology partner Domino.
The Domino digital unit uses Kyocera printheads to print a resolution of 600 x 600 dpi, with up to six colors and opaque white. With a 340-mm web width on the Domino printer and wider web width of 430 mm on the MPS press, converters reportedly are able to run more labels across when running in pure flexo mode, and at a higher speed.
The first SYMJET press was sold during the show to Optikett, a printer in Germany. Optikett also purchased an EF flexo press just prior to Labelexpo Europe, the printer’s seventh MPS press investment.
