OCEAN, NJ | Eagle Systems, a developer and manufacturer of foil enhancement
equipment, reports that Eagle president and CEO Mike King will be presenting at the upcoming Print UV 2015 conference. In its eighth year, Print UV 2015 will be held at the Encore by Wynn Resort in Las Vegas March 1–March 3.
“Everyone loves cold foil, and if you don’t, then you just know enough about it yet,” says King, “I’ve been working with this technology just about all of my adult life, and I have a passion for the techniques, tricks, and tips I’ve learned along the way. Making cold foil sing is what I do and I look forward to making it a vital part of any print operation.”
The Eco-Eagle Cold Foil system is a value-added finishing technique for cold foil applications. The add-on system can retrofit to new or existing sheet-fed offset
presses from 28–80 in. from most major press manufacturers. It offers users the flexibility to apply a single 40-in. width of foil or multiple widths of foil, in any combination, as narrow as 2 in. Company says this greatly reduces foil cost and consumption. In addition, the cold foil system operates on about the same amount of electricity as a 1,500-w hair dryer, reducing energy demands in production environments. This year, the company has added the ability to use a 16,000k foil roll, which allows for less changeover during a job run.
