BOUCHERVILLE, QC, CANADA | ETI Converting Equipment announces the installation of a JFlex digital printing unit on its Cohesio equipment.
Maxime Bayzelon, president at ETI Converting Equipment, and Eric Short, president of RDP Marathon, Montreal, QC, Canada, have concluded a strategic alliance for the integration of an innovative and fast digital unit that will transform the Mini-Cohesio equipment into a digital inkjet platform production label line.
Unit is able to run at 70 mpm (225 fpm) with a high quality printing of 14 micron dots at 1,600 x 1,375 dpi. Company says this unit, combined with Pellicut technology that enables die-cutting on a very thin liner, will open new markets for label printers.
Reportedly, this simple concept will also allow printers to produce finished labels at a competitive price for small and medium production runs.
This digital unit, installed on a Mini-Cohesio machine, will be demonstrated at Labelexpo Europe 2015, September 29–October 2, in Brussels, Belgium.
