SCHAUMBURG, IL | INX International Ink Co. (INX) will have a full range of label technologies available for printers and converters planning to attend Labelexpo Americas 2014, September 9–11 Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, IL. Included will be a new digital narrow web press and a small batch ink dispenser, along with a wide range of flexographic and gravure label inks.
The new Komori NW210 inkjet UV digital narrow web press with in-line laser cutting is powered by JetINX, and represents the latest addition to the EVOLVE Advanced Digital Solutions line. Company says this unit provides label converters as well as packaging and direct mail printers the opportunity to transition into digital printing with short-run production for narrow web printing.
The NW210 is capable of delivering UV-LED cure single-pass output to 80 fpm on any label stock, and reportedly combines printing and conversion to provide brilliant color and easy production of printed labels at a maximum printing width of 210 mm. In addition to the Spartanics X210 laser die-cutting station, the press has five color ink channels and the latest Xaar patented technology.
Also featured will be three premium quality water-based flexographic ink formulations for labels: The AquaTech ION-T Thermal series is used for a wide range of thermal laser printers; the ION-P Paper series prints on most prime label, semi-gloss, and EDP substrates, plus an array of p-s and tag liners; the ION Film Glow & Sheen Metallic series prints on most prime label, semi-gloss, and EDP substrates, as well as most treated films and foils.
Attendees also will see the INXFlex UV ITX-free Shrink 70 Process inks and INXFlex UV CLMII low-migration process inks, and for shrink label printers, the solvent-based Etona and ShrinkPac F ink systems are premium gravure inks designed for PETG and OPS shrink sleeve applications.
