DuPont Adds New Cyrel Plate

WILMINGTON, DE | DuPont Packaging Graphics has introduced the Cyrel FAST DFUV flexographic printing plate designed for superior output when used with UV-curable inks. Reportedly, the plates can improve solid ink density, reduce waste, and save time and cost in applications involving high-end substrates such as p-s and self-adhesive labels, shrink wrap, and wraparound labels, tickets, tags and boards. 

“The new Cyrel DFUV plate was developed specifically for the narrow web printer who needs a high-performance flexographic printing plate for use with UV inks,” says John Chrosniak, global business director, DuPont Packaging Graphics. “As we continue to advance quality, productivity, and sustainability for flexographic printing, this new plate is an outstanding addition to our portfolio.”

Company says Cyrel DFUV is a thermal process plate that comes to color quickly and prints smooth and dense solids, without compromising dot gain, highlights, and resolution, adding that plate is specifically designed for shorter print runs using UV inks on high-priced stock where minimizing the startup waste is essential.
