Avery Dennison Wins TLMI Award for Green Initiatives

 MENTOR, OH | Avery Dennison Label and Packaging Materials Business Unit has received the 2011 Environmental Leadership Award from the Tag and Label Mfrs. Inst. (TLMI). The award, given by the TLMI Environmental Committee, recognizes the leadership efforts of member companies that consistently demonstrate a commitment to worthy environmental practices. Avery Dennison has been honored previously with the TLMI Environmental Leadership Award in 2008.

Avery Dennison’s environmental efforts include reducing waste across the value chain through Enterprise Lean Sigma (ELS); applying Life Cycle Assessment to products; launching Greenprint, a tool enabling complex LCA results to be translated into a user-friendly snapshot of the environmental impact of a product in different stages of its lifecycle; and offering a variety of products designed to reduce waste and enable recycling.
