MELVILLE, NY | The RB Dwyer Group helps Barn Dad Innovation Nutrition, a div. of Angle Foods, launch its newest product, Ultra Fiber DX, with a shrink sleeve label printed on its IVCO (Infinitely Variable Cylinder Offset) web press.
The RB Dwyer Groups' new IVCO print technology is said to enable Barn Dad Innovation Nutrition to present a shrink sleeve label with gravure quality and zero cylinder costs. The 360-degree image area contains information and nutrition facts on the back of the label while the front shows a distinctive graphic that includes a brilliant metallic green. The PVC label is printed in eight colors and is said to combine the benefits of a decorative sleeve and tamper-evidence in one application, eliminating the need for two components. A perforation allows the tamper-evident band to be removed while the label remains on the canister. UV inks for sustainability are used for all print jobs.
According to Kelly Halbrock, marketing manager of Angle Foods, “It was important that we educate our customers as to the importance of the eight-layer fiber in this product. The shrink label not only enabled us to have a large enough image area to write all the important information related to the fiber but also allowed for a tamper-evident band that ensured freshness and security. This was very important in our decision to use a shrink label.”
The RB Dwyer Group, established in 1988, is headquartered in Anaheim, CA, with manufacturing facilities in both Anaheim, CA, and Wilkes Barre, PA, a sales office in Melville, NY, and distribution centers throughout the US and Canada.
