MENOMONEE, FALLS, WI | Glenroy, Inc., a converter and printer of flexible packaging film, says it has launched the first-ever flexible packaging smartphone application. The app—available as a free download in the Android market—allows users to quickly calculate commonly used flexible packaging specifications such as roll weight, roll footage, roll diameter, basis weight, and yield.
Also available are several flexible packaging conversion tools including MSI (thousand sq in.) to linear ft, MI (thousand impressions) to linear ft, MI to MSI, pounds to linear ft, meters to linear ft, and linear ft to impressions. Users can quickly switch between imperial and metric units, and a “share” feature allows users to email calculations and conversions directly from their Android devices.
“We continually look for new ways to better service our customers. The development of this tool is just one more example of how we go the extra mile to continually improve the overall customer experience,” said Rich Buss, president of Glenroy. “We are proud to be innovators in this regard.”
This app is currently designed for Android smartphones, and will soon be available for iPad. To download and install Glenroy’s flexible packaging app for Android devices, search “Glenroy” in the Android market.
