PLA Films Coming

SAN GIORGIO DI NOGARO, ITALY | BOPP film producer Taghleef Industries (Ti) is introducing a fully natural film range based on NatureWorks PLA (polylactic acid) polymers, which are marketed under the brand name Ingeo and which are 100% made from renewable resources.

Valerio Garzitto, CEO of Ti Europe, says, “We will launch our new BoPLA product range in the fourth quarter and will offer a film portfolio of different thicknesses and appearances…. The new compostable films can be used in packaging applications such as fresh produce, bakery, dairy, or confectionery and will complement the existing bioplastics used in packaging already.”
