Crush Cut Holder Celebrates 50th Anniversary

SPENCER, MA—The Dienes Group is celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Model PQAS Crush Cut pneumatic knife holders. In 1956, Willi Burk and Peter Wingen developed the idea that air-loaded crush cutting holders would be a better way to slit materials than the typical mechanical spring pressure models on the market. After the initial patent ended, the PQAs became the standard of the industry with more than two dozen manufacturers.
