Sun Chemical, Flint Ink, and BASF Raise Prices

PRESS RELEASE

NORTHLAKE, IL—Sun Chemical has raised prices in North America 9%-12%—depending on the specific products—due to continued increases in raw material prices and shortages of key ingredients. The increases cover inks, coatings, fountain solutions, and other printing consumables. Additionally, Sun Chemical will apply surcharges where appropriate to cover energy and freight costs.

"These increases do ont factor in the effects due to Hurricanes Rita and Katrina which will affect the petroleum and chemical industries in the Gulf States," says Chris Morrissey, corporate VP, marketing.
