Dr. Richard Podhajny Dies

With great sorrow, the staff of PFFC has learned of the passing of Dr. Richard Podhajny, who died on Saturday, July 16, of a massive heart attack. Dr. Podhajny, author of PFFC’s Material Science column, would have been 65 on July 27. His death followed quickly on the heels of his wife Susie’s after a three-month battle with metastasized breast cancer. He is survived by his three children, Debbie, David, and Danny and six grandchildren. Dr. Podhajny has been a mentor and friend not only to the entire staff of PFFC but to countless others in the worldwide printing and converting industry. His tragic loss will be felt by all.
