OPP Film Peru Enters US Market with "Great" BOPP Products

LIMA, PERU — OPP Film Peru, "with the mission of delivering superior BOPP [biaxially oriented polypropylene] products and service excellence," reports it now offers its products and services to United States-based converters.

OPP Film Peru, with manufacturing in Lima, says its entry into the US market provides "a new alternative for small- and medium-sized converters." The material manufacturer adds: "In the USA, we will be dedicated to best serve small- and medium-sized companies that prefer personalized and friendly service with constant support and feedback. We are aware of their needs and will fill the gap left by big corporations that won't allow themselves to attend to smaller needs."

According to OPP Film Peru, from white cavitated to high-barrier, metallized films, it has developed an array of products for various converter market needs. "We manufacture BOPP material that has proven to have great physical and optical balance, qualities that make it ideal for packed food preservation and accurate machine processing. Our specially designed co-extruded formulations and variety of presentations offer a wide range of uses for the food packaging and industrial markets."

The film producer also adds: "At OPP Film Peru, we continuously are raising the bar in product quality and customer satisfaction. This is why our products comply with the US Food and Drug Adminstration's regulations for direct food contact, and by March 2005, we will be AIB [American Institute of Baking] certified."
