BURR RIDGE, IL, USA — Graphic Solutions is taking time out of its busy schedule today to host a plant tour for dozens of international printing and publishing trade pub editors. According to the Chicagoland-based converter, the editors represent the leading print industry magazines in Britain, France, Germany, Poland, Italy, the Netherlands, Brazil, Colombia, Canada, and Mexico.
Already in the Chicago area for Graph/Converting Expo — which starts this Sunday, October 10, 2004 — the editors are visiting selected plants with unusual capabilities or specialities. Says Graphic Solutions, "The tour was designed to acquaint them with some of America's most innovative high-tech printing."
A converter that uses the "conventional" screen printing methodology, Graphic Solutions International says it uses screen to produce such unconventional output as illuminated dashboard displays for automobiles (eletroluminescence); printed circuitry for medical sensors; thin, flexible, and environmentally safe batteries, and radio frequency antenna/transmitters for consumer and wholesale packaging.
The manufacturer says it has also co-developed a turnkey active RFID labeling system for the remote monitoring, processing, and transmitting of data throughout the supply chain.
Adds Graphic Solutions president Suzanne Zaccone, "These editors represent magazines read by the most important and influential printing industry professionals in Europe and Latin America, and we're delighted that the work we're doing at Graphic Solutions has attracted their attention."
