WOONSOCKET, RI, USA—Parkinson Technologies will soon benefit from a multi-million-dollar contract with DuPont. The manufacturer of winders and web handling equipment reports it was awarded the contract recently.
According to Parkinson, it will supply equipment as part of the Mark IV product line (which will include shaft- and core-handling systems) for the DuPont spunlace expansion.
"We are pleased to be part of DuPont's first expansion since 1992," says Parkinson's nonwovens sales manager Andrew Miller. "The nonwovens market may be soft as a whole, but our business has never been better."
