Martin Automatic at Labelexpo Americas Booth 811

Leading US manufacturer of unwind/splice and rewind technology Martin Automatic announces plans for its participation at Labelexpo Americas ’24 in Chicago
In a unique and ambitious plan to bring automated reality to life at an exhibition for the first time, Martin Automatic will be combining its own machines with that of complementary technology from LEMU and ETI to manufacture a label production job in real-time on Booth 811.
The concept is to demonstrate that converters wanting a choice of technology can use three separate companies yet still end up with a perfectly integrated line for everyday production of high-quality products, knowing that each element is best in class.
Speaking for Martin, VP Sales & Marketing Gavin Rittmeyer stated: “We are truly excited about the prospect of bringing a real-life job to Labelexpo and showing how combining technology can be a risk-free investment where the integration is safe and secure. We see this as an holistic approach to production going forward that will allow the end-user to focus on his or her own individual business model.”
The Martin Automatic equipment on Booth 811 is an MBS butt splicer rated at 800 ft/min (245 m/min) on web widths to 26” (660mm) and maximum roll diameter of 40” (1016mm). But to feed the ETI line for manufacturing label stock, Martin is supplying a second MBS for dual web feed into the ETI laminator. The second splicer has a reduced running-direction footprint with an integrated 90-degree micropore turnbar.
“The fact that there is no specific customer for the line on the Booth shows the clear commitment of all three companies to the industry and its future development. But we are indebted to Channeled Resources, a premier label converter in the Midwest USA, whose job we will be producing live at the expo, for their trust and belief in what integrated automation can offer,” he added.
Martin Automatic looks forward to welcoming visitors to Booth 811 and demonstrating the value of non-stop production and how the reduction of steps in the converting process can improve efficiency and profitability.
