CRYSTAL LAKE, IL | The 2017 IADD·FSEA Odyssey, scheduled for May 17–19 at the Schaumburg Convention Center in Schaumburg, IL, will feature on-press classroom demonstrations, live equipment running on the show floor, and experts from all sectors of the graphics finishing industry. The event is sponsored by the International Association of Diecutting and Diemaking and the Foil & Specialty Effects Association.
Whether the priority is to improve profits, increase sales or decrease production costs, the Odyssey’s 25 technical and education sessions will help attendees hit their targets, says IADD-FSEA. All technical programs are conducted by industry experts—either on-press or in the classroom—each culminating with interactive Q&A sessions to address real-world challenges.
In the Techshop, leading equipment suppliers will lead on-press demonstrations on topics ranging from laser cutter maintenance and makeready for difficult substrates to improving press productivity with automation. In the classrooms, programming includes PaperBoard 101, Registration Control on a Rotary Converting Platform, Packaging Design Considerations for Specialty Folder-Gluers, and New Foil Technologies: Cold Foil and Digital Inkjet.
The Technology Hall will be filled with a wide range of products and services specific to diecutting/diemaking, foil stamping, folding/gluing, digital printing, and a host of other specialty diemaking and finishing processes.
