HOD-HASHARON, ISRAEL | Advanced Vision Technology (AVT) has partnered with printing press manufacturer Nilpeter, Slagelse, Denmark, to introduce D2D Register, an solution for fully automatic makeready and running register control.
D2D Register supports the full range of Nilpeter flexo presses from FA-4* to FA-6*. According to the companies, the system is suitable for all print substrates, improves efficiency, and minimizes waste. It loads the job data automatically from the Nilpeter console to the AVT Helios, brings the press to perfect register in both x and y axis without operator intervention, and maintains accuracy during the run. The system is said to eliminate the need to manually move typical register sensors, saving changeover time and preventing costly positional error.
In addition to high-resolution capabilities, the register features built-in full web width, digital zoom and a 22-in. 16:9 ratio viewer. The system can be upgraded to full 100% inspection and has many other options.
Jakob Landberg, sales and marketing director of Nilpeter, says, “This new joint innovation between our two companies provides our customers with a highly sophisticated and fully integrated register control solution on our flexo press range. We have had very positive feedback from our initial installs, and with the added benefit of the extensive AVT Helios production solutions, Nilpeter believes that this new product simplifies the press setup, increases register accuracy during the run, and reduces waste.”
“D2D Register offers a fully upgraded press-to-rewinder workflow connectivity solution for Nilpeter’s prestigious global customer base,” says Jaron Lotan CEO of AVT. “This joint development is a significant advantage for both AVT and our friends at Nilpeter, who can now offer our comprehensive, 100% automatic inspection systems directly at the point of sale.”
