PPC Reports Membership Surge in Q1 2015

SPRINGFIELD, MA | The Paperboard Packaging Council (PPC) has seen a surge in new membership since the beginning of 2015, with six new converter members and six new supplier members. They include the following:

“I welcome all of our newest members,” says PPC president Ben Markens. “I am pleased that many large integrated firms as well as smaller independents have been recognizing the value of a PPC membership.”
He says that, with the folding carton market slated to enjoy moderate growth through 2018, converters and suppliers to the industry are seeking out ways to increase their market share—and protect against competing substrates. PPC membership provides an array of resources to do just that, according to Markens.
Membership includes access to PPC’s folding carton industry data benchmarking reports. By aggregating participant data, the exclusive reports provide information on the state of the industry, carton shipments, compensation, and more.
PPC adds that networking and educational opportunities are also offered, as well as access to exclusive studies, webinars, and legislative updates and opportunities to participate in special workshops and publicity-generating programs such as TICCIT and the North American Paperboard Packaging Competition.
