Ceresana Issues Study on Polyamides
- Published: April 20, 2015
KONSTANZ, GERMANY | Market research institute Ceresana announces a new study on polyamides, said to be among the most versatile plastics. The study expects sales growth for polyamides from 3.1%yr to approximately 31.2 billion US$ in 2022.
According to Oliver Kutsch, CEO of Ceresana, especially important are polyamide 6 and polyamide 66 are important. “In 2014, global revenues of 24.4 billion US$ were achieved with these two polyamide types."
Synthetic fibers made of polyamide, colloquially called "nylon," are said to be very tear- and abrasion-resistant. They have a very high elasticity and shape stability. Polyamide 6 and polyamide 66 are mainly used for the production of textile and industrial filaments.
The study includes a presentation and analysis of the global market for polyamide (PA6 and PA66), including forecasts up to 2022 as well as a detailed analysis of the polyamide market in the 19 major countries. Data is provided on demand, revenues, production, producers of polyamide and their capacities as well as import and export. Application areas of polyamide include packaging and foil
, other technical applications, textile filaments, plus transportation, electrical applications and electronics, consumer goods, industrial filaments as well as other fiber applications.
Company profiles are included, arranged according to contact details, turnover, profit, product range, production sites, capacities, and profile summary.
