MOCON Changes Name of German Subsidiary

MINNEAPOLIS, MN | MOCON, a global manufacturer of permeation instrumentation, is announcing a name change for its Paul Lippke Handels GmbH business unit headquartered in Neuwied, Germany. Effective January 1, 2015, Lippke will be known as MOCON GmbH.
“MOCON has made considerable investments in acquisitions and organic growth to strengthen its global footprint as a market leader,” says VP Doug Lindemann. “Changing the name of our German business unit is another step in support of that strategy.”
MOCON purchased Lippke in 2004. During the two prior decades, Lippke had been a manufacturer of its own instrumentation and a distributor of MOCON equipment—targeting packaging, food, and pharmaceutical markets and applications.
Reportedly, Lippke has always dedicated itself to providing innovative high quality products, first-class application consulting, and excellent technical support throughout Europe. Its focus has been on MOCON permeation measurement systems for oxygen, water vapor, and carbon dioxide, and LIPPKE-branded package testing systems.
MOCON GmbH will continue to be headed by Lippke managing director Franz Sturm, who reports to Lindemann.
