HERMA Adhesive Suits No-Label Look

FILDERSTADT, GERMANY | HERMA announces multilayer adhesive 62Gpt, said to open up a broad range of applications for transparent film. For the food sector, the adhesive is fully approved by the German test institute ISEGA (correction factor 2).
Company says the product offers outstanding initial tack, meaning the no-label look is now easy to achieve even if the label has to offer fast and strong tack.
The company is applying the adhesive, which is part of the HERMAperfectTack range, to the HERMA PP 50 transparent film (grade 885) which is said to deliver good print quality with all conventional printing techniques. In combination, the two constituents reportedly produce visually appealing, glossy labels. The release liner is a 30-µm PET film.
Transparent quality makes product suitable for toiletries and personal hygiene product containers and is said to offer new opportunities available for exploiting the no-label effect across more product categories. This includes applications in the pharmaceutical and cosmetic segments.
