Polysack to Offer Demo at Heat-Shrink Sleeve Label Event

NEGEV, ISRAEL | Polysack Flexible Packaging will present a live demonstration at the Introduction to Heat-Shrink Sleeve-Label Technologies Conference to be presented by AWA Alexander Watson Assoc. June 24–25, 2014, at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Plymouth, MN.
The interactive workshop will focus on the production and application of heat-shrink sleeve labels and will provide updates on the latest technological developments, manufacturing processes, and applications in this evolving industry.
Rony Ben-Shoshan, senior product manager at Polysack (a sponsor of the workshop), will present materials recently introduced in the heat-shrink roll-fed shrink (RFS) label market, showcasing shrink ratios from 35%–60%. The presentation will include a live demo exhibiting how Polysack film is applied in a labeling machine.
Company says attendees will learn how RFS technology yields a 30% saving compared to conventional sleeves, since the film runs on the conveyer belt in the same direction as the bottles and the sleeves are produced simultaneously, which increases labeling speed and eliminates sleeve production and inspection steps.
Reportedly, company’s film is lightweight and recyclable, yields less than 1% scrap, and is supported by all label-seaming technologies today.
