Clear Barrier Overwrap Earns FPA's Highest Award

LINTHICUM, MD | Rollprint Packaging Products, Addison, IL, earned the highest achievement award from the Flexible Packaging Assn. (FPA) for its Model Magic Clear Barrier Overwrap converted for Crayola LLC. The package is called a breakthrough crystal-clear structure that provides the barrier of an aluminum foil composite. Manufactured from ultra-high barrier ClearFoil Z, the overwrap allows the vibrant colors of Model Magic to visibly engage consumers while the packaged product is still on the shelf.
ClearFoil Z was developed by Rollprint to provide the same outstanding moisture barrier as high barrier foil structures. The unique proprietary manufacturing process reportedly provides barrier properties 100 times better than other non-foil structures and is the first transparent flexible barrier structure capable of outperforming structures made from standard gauge foils.
This package also received Gold Awards for Packaging Excellence and Technical Innovation at the 58th Annual FPA Flexible Packaging Achievement Awards and Innovation Showcase.
