Appleton Facestock Suited for Weigh-Scale Labels

APPLETON, WI | Appleton, a supplier of direct thermal paper, announces the addition of Résiste 185-3.3 to its portfolio of label facestocks. Developed specifically for retail weigh-scale label applications, product is said to offer darker images and barcodes when printed with retail weigh scale equipment, as well as improved scan rates.

Also said to provides faster cash register throughput and improved readability, product’s increased resistance to mechanical scuffing helps labels remain legible and scannable when in contact with PVC wrap, packaging films, and bags containing plasticizers or where labeled items are stacked in cold cabinets or store shelves. Like company’s other products, Résiste 185-3.3 does not contain BPA (bisphenol A).
