MACtac Supplies P-S Label Material for Flag Stamps

STOW, OH | The US Postal Service issued the concluding set of 10 stamp designs in the five-year Flags of Our Nation stamp series. MACtac supplied the pressure-sensitive adhesive label material for more than 250 million of the 45-cent Forever stamps issued.

The sixth set features the flags of Texas, Utah, the US Virgin Islands, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia, Wisconsin, Wyoming, and the Stars and Stripes. Each stamp includes an image of the state flag and artwork that provides a snapshot view of the state's story and other areas represented by the flag. Art director Howard Paine collaborated with artist Tom Engeman on the stamps in this set, as well as the other stamps in the Flags of Our Nation series.

"Issued in time for Labor Day, we're happy to play a role in observing the holiday by honoring the nine states and territories and the Stars and Stripes in this final set of stamps."

The multi-stamp series began in 2008 and includes 60 stamps issued in six separate sets of ten designs. In aggregate, it features four stamps depicting the Stars and Stripes, 50 official state flags and one for each of the following: the territories of American Samoa and Guam, the commonwealths of the Northern Mariana Islands and Puerto Rico, the District of Columbia, and the US Virgin Islands.
