Webex Offers Vacuum Rolls for Delicate Films

NEENAH, WI | A narrow web vacuum roll custom engineered by Webex is said to provide delicate yet precise control over very sensitive optical film.

Company says the 6-in.-dia roll body features a highly polished stainless steel finish with a series of micro grooves and port holes that produce an ultra-gentle web gripping force. Custom vacuum rolls can have adjustable active zone widths from within a few inches to nearly the entire face length of the roll. The cantilever design on this driven vacuum roll is for a clean room web handling application. Vacuum rolls are commonly specified in stainless steel, steel with nickel plating, and hard-anodized aluminum with nickel plating.
