Montalvo Single-Disc Brake Suited for Printing

GORHAM, ME | The Montalvo Corp. has developed a compact single-disc brake well suited for printing applications. “The CS-Series brake is ideal for web presses and narrow webs,” says president Ed Montalvo, adding it has a high capacity and low inertia to eliminate residual drag and allow customers to run a wider variety of webs.

In addition, the company reports it has up to twice the range of a magnetic particle brake, comes in two torque ranges, and offers a Montalvo C-Series friction module that can be configured for a customer’s dual disc, single disc, or caliper disc brakes.
